Description
Tincture made by a process of hydro-ethanolic percolation, with a ratio of 1 part Marshmallow Root to 3 parts liquid. Liquid comprises of 75% water and 25% sugar beet derived ethanol.
Althaea officinalis (marsh-mallow, or common marshmallow) is a perennial species. A native of most countries of Europe, from Denmark southward. It grows in salt marshes, in damp meadows, by the sides of ditches, by the sea and on the banks of tidal rivers.
Both the rhizome and leaf are used within herbal medicine.
