Description
Tincture made by a process of hydro-ethanolic percolation, with a ratio of 1 part Guaiacum Wood to 3 parts liquid. Liquid comprises of 10% water and 90% sugar beet derived ethanol.
Guaiacum officinale, commonly known as Guaiacum Wood or Lignum Vitae, is a species of tree in the caltrop family, Zygophyllaceae, that is native to the Caribbean and the northern coast of South America.
Guaiacum Wood was listed as an endangered species by the IUCN in 1998. It has been overexploited for its valuable wood and medicinal products.
