Serenoa repens / Saw Palmetto Berry Fluid Extract

Description

Fluid Extract made by a process of hydro-ethanolic percolation, with a ratio of 1 part Saw Palmetto Berry to 1 part liquid. Liquid comprises of 40% water and 60% sugar beet derived ethanol.

Serenoa repens, commonly known as saw palmetto, is the sole species currently classified in the genus Serenoa. It is a small palm, growing to a maximum height around 7–10 ft.

It is endemic to the subtropical Southeastern United States, most commonly along the south Atlantic and Gulf Coastal plains and sand hills. It grows in clumps or dense thickets in sandy coastal areas, and as undergrowth in pine woods or hardwood hammocks.

Flowers are yellow-white in colour and the fruit reddish-black.
