Description
Red Clover Flowers (Trifolium pratense) is a herbaceous species of flowering plant belonging to the bean family – Fabaceae. Other common names include Beebread, cow clover, meadow clover, purple clover, trefoil, wild clover.
They are native to Europe and western Asia however is naturalised in many other regions. Red clover grows mainly on cultivated land and help improve the soil by binding nitrogen from the atmosphere.
The flowers are dark pink with a paler base, 12–15 mm long, produced in a dense inflorescence, and are mostly visited by bumblebees.
