Tincture made by a process of hydro-ethanolic percolation, with a ratio of 1 part Wild Carrot Herb to 4 parts liquid. Liquid comprises of 75% water and 25% sugar beet derived ethanol.

Daucus carota, whose common names include wild carrot, bird's nest, bishop's lace, and Queen Anne's lace (North America), is a white, flowering plant in the family Apiaceae. The wild carrot is a herbaceous, somewhat variable biennial plant

It is native to temperate regions of Europe and southwest Asia, and naturalized to North America and Australia.

Domesticated carrots are cultivars of a subspecies, Daucus carota subsp. sativus.

 

Medicinal Action and Uses

Abortifacient - stimulates the uterus. The root of the wild plant can induce uterine contractions and so should not be used by pregnant women. Wild carrot seeds have been used historically as a natural morning after contraceptive.

Carminative - useful in flatulence, windy colic, hiccough, dysentery.

Digestive - soothes the digestive tract.

Diuretic - has been used in the treatment of urinary stones.

Hepatic - it supports the liver, stimulates the flow of urine and the removal of waste by the kidneys.
