Lincoln College Herbal Medicine Students visit Herbal Apothecary
Earlier this year Herbal Medicine students & staff from Lincoln College visited Herbal Apothecary, which is based within the premises of its parent company Nature’s Laboratory in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
The college visitors spent 4 hours in groups being shown around the factory, including the manufacturing area, where they had the opportunity to see how we make fluids, extracts and capsules. Tom Cull, our Director of Production, Purchasing and Operations was on hand to answer any questions. Our visitors also spent time in our in-house laboratory with Dr. Shankar Katekhaye, our Director of Quality & Research, hearing about our research capacity and expertise in formulation & product development, they were also able to see our HPLC equipment and ask any questions of Shankar. Finally, our visitors spent time with Jack Barber, Managing Director of Nature’s Laboratory, hearing about our vision for the future of Herbal Apothecary and herbal medicine and our plans to further develop internal systems and build bespoke manufacturing systems to improve the quality of herbal medicines.
The response of the students and staff was very positive and we enjoyed answering many questions and having interesting discussions with the group.
"We had an amazing time. The students were so impressed with the QA and QC and the fantastic range of products you have. They can’t wait to come again. Thank you."
